“The Mayan Connection”
Krov and Ann Menuhin in The Mayan Connection They went to Central America just to film the wildlife – colourful birds, agile monkeys and fish schooling off the world’s second largest barrier reef. But most of all they wanted to swim underwater with those rare mammals the manatees – just as they had done with the whales in Argentina.

At the end of four months the Menuhins had achieved this-and much more; for as they travelled in Belize and Guatemala they became absorbed in Mayan history-and realised that almost everything they filmed had some significance long ago in Mayan times.
